I’m starting a new blog, an additional one.

This will be my ‘professional’ and serious face blog. I would like to focus on some interests in my life a bit more passionately, and having a well-defined space to do so is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. I am going to be treating this blog as my ‘public face,’ and am going to try on a few hats that I don’t normally wear when dealing with it. I will be experimenting with things that I don’t traditionally do with my online persona; things like having opinions, being pretentious, artsy, philosophy, coming to actual conclusions.

The tagline for this blog is: “The Somewhat Professional Blog of Thomas Mannino: Multimedia Developer, Casual Game Designer, Interactive Storyteller, Music Video Enthusiast, Sociology Buff, and Internet Scientist,” however it’s not showing up in my currently chosen template.

If it’s not obvious enough, this blog will mainly be about all of the things listed above. If you’re interested in any and all of those things, bookmark me, add me to your google reader, or just stop by when you remember. My other blog, ScatteredGenius, will probably have less posts regarding the above things, but there will still be some overlap if I feel it important. Scattered will be in no way neglected, however, so don’t worry. I know you worry that you don’t see enough videos about cats, but don’t.

Basically, Scattered will be more about ‘content,’ and this blog will be more about ‘opinion’ and ‘professional stuff.’ I use finger quotes for all those. I will probably link back and forth instead of cross-posting to both blogs. All content from this blog will be cross-posted to my livejournal. If you are reading from LJ, you probably won’t be able to tell the difference.

I am very excited to get this ball rolling. It’s the first step in a marching path of a big, long, devious plan to change the world.
