Freelance!
I have to get my spit together. Portfolio, websites, clean out my email, go through my buddylists and whatnot. The root of TomMannino.com is getting a redesign, gonna make it a bit more pro and update the resume.
I’m going to go back to useing my ‘evilzug’ screenname. Re-add it or say hi.
I’m also going to be doing the internet thing on scatteredgenius.com again. Incoming links and videos :3
So, I just got laid off.
First things first, need to get all my ducks in a row, like filing for unemployment and filling out COBRA paperwork. Unfortunately I mean the health insurance kind. I’m not applying for employment with Cobra Command. Although they are hiring and have great benefits, I know they suffer from lackluster management. And knowing is half the battle.
Needless to say it’s all still sinking in. I’ll have to sort my money issues out, as would anyone. I have a few months before I’d have to probably take my old job as the Deliverator back again. Already have discussed the worst case scenario type things with Dasha, and we’ve decided that being paid assassins and/or mercenaries really isn’t that much of a conscession, should it come to that.
So many awesome (true meaning of the word, not the casual throw-around use of the word) lessons learned this past year, (probably not just by myself, but by others as well.)
Needless to say I will be internetting more now. Updating resume/portfolio/etc, bloggerating, all that stuff.
